Interaction of ADN with some group II and III elements
نویسنده
چکیده
Ammonium dinitramide (ADN) has been studied quantum chemically at the level of UB3LYP/6-31++G(d,p) in order to get some information about its behavior in the presence of some group II and III elements (viz., Be, Mg, B and Al). The results indicate that Be and Mg are being oxidized by AND, but B and Al are not. In the case of Be and Mg, the reduction of ADN is accompanied by the removal of NO2 moiety which has negative total charge. On the other hand, the interaction pattern of these elements with dinitramic acid (HDN) in the presence of ammonia (HDN+NH3+element, ternary composites) is different than the isomeric/isoelectronic binary (ADN+element) composites. Some quantum chemical properties of those binary and ternary composite systems are also presented.

Ammonium dinitramide (ADN) with a positive oxygen balance (25.8%) is a metal free- energetic compound, which is used in military explosives and smokeless or green solid propellants. Combustion products of solid propellants based on ADN are clean and smokeless and they do not release hydrogen chloride gas, which can be an excellent alternative compound as an oxidizer in the solid propellant form...
متن کاملGinger (Zingiber officinale Roscoe) extract can improve the levels of some trace elements and total homocysteine and prevent oxidative damage induced by ethanol in rat eye
Objective: Acute and chronic ethanol consumption cause oxidative stress and ginger improves suchconditions. In this study, the protective effects of ginger were studied on indices of oxidative stress, total homocysteinelevel and the level of the some of the oxidative stress-associated trace elements against toxicity induced by ethanol in rat eye. Materials and Met...
متن کاملInteraction of some heavy metal ions with single walled carbon nanotube
The interaction between some heavy metal ions such as of Pb(II), Cd(II) and Cu(II) ions from aqueous solution adsorbed by single walled carbon nanotube (SWCNTs) and carboxylate group functionalized single walled carbon nanotube (SWCNT-COOH) surfaces were studied by atomic absorption spectroscopy. The effect of contact time, pH, initial concentration of ion, ionic strength and temperature on the...
